Colossal Academy is a progressive microschool in Broward, Florida, for tweens and teens between the ages of 10 and 14. Their program consists of 2 days of virtual work, during which they partner with Florida Virtual School as well as offer their own online curriculum, and 3 days of hands on learning, sometimes at their farm, sometimes at the beach, or sometimes at a skate park.

Although they have a very new and exciting take on education, they are considered a private school, and cover traditional subject as do traditional schools but with a decolonized perspective and catering to the child as a whole unique being.

 Through hands-on learning experiences and project-based approaches, students are actively engaged with their education.  Colossal Academy balances curriculum rigor  and practical life skills to help children self-actualize. Practical life skills are learned through farming/ permaculture, surfing, skateboarding, cooking and mindfulness.
